Magritte’s Heisenberg


Inspired by the surrealist painter, Magritte’s, “Son of Man” and “The Treachery of Images.”


It began as a tonal study of a photo of Bryan Cranston as Heisenberg, but I couldnt help but make parallels in both visuals and subject.  Magritte challenged peoples perception of imagery and language and Walter White is an apt subject.

Below is a breakdown of the painting as it progressed.
